Unscrew wooden top and remove plastic plug (plug is in place to hold the fragrance in the container while not in use). Screw wooden top back on (not too tight as it can break, but tight enough so that it does not unscrew and fall in your vehicle). Insert reeds, clip to vehicle vent and enjoy!
